AU: Rise and Shine
“Oh gods,” Loki dropped his head against her shoulder. ”we’re going to have to tell him. And he will probably start badgering us to let him marry us officially. It will never cease.”
Laughing, Sif groaned. “Jane shall wish to….plan,” she said, imagining quite the same scenario. It was only a matter of time, and they would never be able to escape the gala her friends would wish to throw. Thor had never been able to do anything quietly.
Much to her surprise, she did not hate the idea. She slid her hands, so much warmer than his skin, around to his back, tracing sinuous muscle with deft fingertips rough with callous.
Loki was laughing soundlessly again, shoulders shaking as his hands slid down her sides.
“Thor will declare a national holiday, damn his eyes. Are you sure you would not rather run away to live quietly on Midgard?”
“If it means more mornings like this one,” she said into his ear, “absolutely.”
Minus Thor walking in, naturally, though she would give him his due: had he not forgotten his manners and barged in, their conversation would likely not have happened at all.
He raised his head and kissed her again.
“We will have mornings like this either way.” he said, again dropping his head to put his mouth next to her ear. ”until you give me a brood of squalling children, in which case neither of us will ever sleep again.”
