“True,” Loki said, still smiling.  ”The three were destined to be together, none complete without the all.” 

He heaved a sigh.
“Sif—she is a complicated creature, Loki.  Treat her with respect and with caution—and pull her hair every once in a while.  That should get a fairly clear message through.”

The child looked up, confusion scrawled across his face. ”Her hair? Why would I harm her hair? And yes… She’s scary sometimes. When we fight it sometimes looks like… like she’d really hurt me.”

Loki waved his good hand.
“Just give it a little tug.  Harmless, and it will drive her crazy.”
He sobered a little.  ”She doesn’t want to hurt you.  She might think she does, but she will always remember that she is sworn to protect you.”
